# Funding bounties

Bounty.new uses escrow to protect both creators and solvers. Here's how to fund your bounties and manage payments.

## How escrow works

When you create a bounty:

1. Funds locked - Your payment is held in escrow
2. Work delivered - Solver submits their solution
3. You approve - Review and approve the work
4. Instant payout - Funds released immediately to solver

This protects both parties:

* Solvers know the money is there
* Creators only pay for approved work

## Adding payment methods

    Choose your preferred payment method:

    * Credit/debit card (instant)
    * ACH bank transfer (1-2 business days)

    Complete verification to enable payments. Required for security and compliance.

  <Step title="Start creating bounties">
    Once verified, you can fund bounties and start receiving solutions.

## Funding a bounty

When creating a bounty:

1. Set reward amount - Choose how much you'll pay for the solution
2. Add to escrow - Funds are immediately locked in escrow
3. Post bounty - Your bounty goes live with guaranteed payment

## Managing bounty funds

### Approving work

When a solver submits a solution:

1. Review submission - Check if it meets your requirements
2. Request changes - Ask for revisions if needed
3. Approve - Release funds instantly to the solver

### Canceling a bounty

If you need to cancel:

1. Navigate to the bounty
2. Click Cancel bounty
3. Funds return to your account immediately

  If work has been submitted, communicate with the solver before canceling. Consider partial payment for partial work.

## Dispute resolution

If there's a disagreement:

1. Communicate - Try to resolve directly with the solver
2. Request mediation - Contact [grim@bounty.new](mailto:grim@bounty.new)
3. Review process - Our team reviews the work and requirements
4. Decision - Funds released based on fair assessment

## Payment security

Your payment information is protected:

* Encrypted storage - All payment data is encrypted
* PCI compliance - We follow industry security standards
* Escrow protection - Funds only released when you approve
* Fraud prevention - Advanced security measures protect your account

## Pricing and fees
